Economies in the ASEAN+3 region should enhance their connectivity, boost the service sector and develop skilled human resources in order to meet global demand.
The Greater Mekong, including Viet Nam, is expected to have a colossal US$66 billion poured in to strengthen regional economic co-operation in the next five years.
Experts at a conference held by the National Institute for Finance on Wednesday in Ha Noi said that inconsistencies and overlaps in development planning, as well as lack of cooperation among localities, were hindering regional economic development.
